Edgar has been the Operations Manager at Sterling Services for 26 years. He started as a technician in Illinois and worked his way up to become the Operations Manager. He grew up in the west suburbs of Illinois and entered the workforce right after high school. He initially wanted to go into IT but ended up learning that it wasn’t the career for him. 

One of the reasons Edgar wanted to work at Sterling Services and work in the flooring industry is because of the customer service skills he knew he would learn. With Sterling Services being a family-owned and operated business, we are only as good as the people who serve our customers. Edgar helps promote the mission of Sterling Services that the success of the company comes as a direct result of the relationships built with the customers. 

“I have enjoyed working at Sterling Services primarily due to the great work environment and being able to connect with my coworkers and team members,” Edgar said. 

One of Edgar’s first-day memories is that Dan Davis, CEO of Sterling Services, brought in lunch and how Edgar was part of the initial start of the company along with four others. Since 1997, the company has continued to thrive and expand beyond the Midwest to offer its services in Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. 

Edgar is into cars and appreciates nice things. He plans to retire in a coastal city in the south to enjoy his time and relax!
