Yajaira graduated from SIU Carbondale with a degree in psychology. She grew up in Cicero and has been at the same home that has been in her family for over 20 years. Yajaira started working with Solutions, Dan Davis’s dad's company, as a carpet tech as a part-time job in high school. She went up the ranks and became a supervisor and continues to work with Sterling during college breaks and vacations as a supervisor. 

Previously, Yajaira worked as a mental health counselor for over nine years after college. She spent the last few years specifically working with children and adolescents. After working in the mental healthcare field, she felt the need to move on to the next chapter of her career and became the Office Manager at Sterling Services. 

From being a carpet tech to then becoming a supervisor to now being the office manager, Yajaira brings a lot of knowledge to Sterling Services and her role. She offers guidance and advice from her experience working in the field and now in the office with her coworkers and clients. 

Having worked in the mental health field has also helped Yajaira learn and apply effective methods of communication. She listens and understands her coworkers and clients which helps build relationships and enhance the customer service experience for prospecting clients and current clients. 

“My first day returning to Sterling Services felt like coming home and being welcomed back to the family after some time away,” Yajaira said. 

Yajaira loves to travel, find and try new restaurants, and attend music festivals. She loves listening to music and dancing. She is also a proud dog mom to Osito!
